Another Devastating Loss for Our Motorcycle Community
This past Saturday morning a motorcyclist dies from his injuries sustained after a truck collied wth his motorcycle Friday night.
Ishmael Hankins was only 27 years old. The crash, not accident, occurred on Jefferson Avenue south of Battlefield around 8:20pm. The man driving the truck was uninjured. According to police the Chevy Silverado made a left-hand turn from Battlefield to go south on Jefferson. The motorcycle then collided with the truck at the intersection.
Yet Another Senseless Death…
Again, bad news, another fellow rider does not go home to his family and friends today. Why? All because the other driver did not look twice. A very simple and very essential task for every driver, every time. Life begins and ends in an instant. Please, do not turn or change lanes, ever, without looking twice, no matter what, when, or where you are, please!
Promise yourself you will take the simple 2 seconds you need to do this all the time, and encourage others to do the same.
Help make our roads safe for everyone, all the time.
Look twice.
It’s that simple.
