STOP the Fatalities!
Last night we lost another fine member of our community, and for no good reason. Was the trucker fatigued? Was the trucker distracted? We won’t know for a while until after the full investigation is completed. But, what we do know is that this horrible crash, and this death, did not have to happen. My heart goes out to the family and all his loved ones.
It was not an “accident”; it was a *preventable crash*.
Already this year we are at or above 24 fatalities for our Southwest Missouri region. Last year our region set a new high over the prior five years, yet we were only at 14 deaths at this time last year. Thus, so far this year, we are approaching *double* the number of deaths as last year.
Please, help STOP the Fatalities on our roads !
Slow down, pay attention, don’t touch your phone, don’t drink and drive, and don’t drive while tired. These people expect and deserve to go home to their families every day, the same as you and I do. Please help that happen. If you would like more information on this story please click here to read the KY3 article.
